For professional capture from film, you can hire our Hasselblad X5 scanner, the very latest in the Hasselblad/Imacon range. This scanner boasts scans speeds of up to 300Mb per minute at 16bit and a maximum resolution of 8000ppi. The X5 is notable for its increased Dmax and diffused light source, which helps reduce clean up time.

The scanner is attached to a G5 IMac 2GHz computer which is fully colour managed. It is situated in its own room and has an A3 light box for film viewing.

If you are not experienced with Hasselblad/Imacon scanners we offer a full induction on your first visit and there is always someone available to answer any queries.

Mac Work Station
Our Mac workstation consists of G4 Mac with 1.5 Gb RAM and 1.33 GHz processor, CD-DVD writer, 22” Lacie calibrated monitor and broadband Internet access. Available software includes: Photoshop CS2, Capture 1, GoLive CS, InDesign CS.

Membership
By joining Rapid Eye Digital you are then entitled to discounted rates for our scanner and work station rental.
The Membership fee is a one off payment of £60.
For first time users you can have a trial session on the Hasselblad scanner for the member rate. If you then join on the day you first hour is further reduced by 50%.

Free Student membership up to a year after graduation.
